Carolyn is a long time member of the Metro APIC chapter and has served in many capacities including President (4 times). She has also served at the National level with election to two terms as secretary and participated and chaired many efforts at the chapter and national level.
Her passion for infection prevention has allowed her to contribute in many settings during her career. These include acute care, long term care, quality improvement organizations, and insurance companies among others. She has also travelled internationally to spread the message of Infection Prevention. She readily embraces the role of educator and enjoys sharing her creativity with others. She has a passion for mentoring new IP’s who embark on this valuable career path and recognizes the importance of networking.
Currently most of her professional time is spent as a consultant either independently or working within a team. Her initial certification in Infection Control was with the first cohort and she has maintained the certification for over 40 years and is proudly an Emeritus CIC.
